Meet Michael Lienhard

With 16 years of Cape Capital experience, and counting, Michael Lienhard is one of Cape’s leading voices.

As Head of Fixed Income he is responsible for the interest rates and credit risk management for our funds, helping to develop the fixed income value chain and infrastructure, and establish Cape in the market.

With an impressive track record in his field, his enthusiasm about systemic developments linked to political trends and financial markets continues to develop – he regularly interacts with the team and other market participants on this topic. He also writes a column for Cape’s digital magazine, FOLIO.

With a family background in Tibetan medicine, a passion for  'mental travelling' with his kids (exploring countries through books, media and documentaries when physically not there) and a keen interest in chess and a number of sports – Michael is a true enigma many times over. As a keen cyclist, Michael  has travelled by bicycle from Gibraltar to the North Cape and from Slovenia to the Orkney Islands.
